A Small Selection of Fantastic People:
I'm John. I play music. I laugh at things and then share them with you.
A Small Selection of Fantastic People:
waitingtocollide replied to your photo: Attempting to knit a sweater. I doubt it will go…
Good luck! I tried one in the fall… got about 7 inches in before I realized I am not nearly experienced enough to do it properly. I hope your sweater will go better than mine did!
I’m guessing I have as much experience as you had at the very most. You should try one again sometime!
waitingtocollide asked: Hey... ;) [why a wink face? I have no idea. It just felt necessary. Forgive me. >.<]
NEVER.
YOUR LIFE STORY
Opening Credits: Countdown by Phoenix (Your life is going to be an evocative love story, set in the big city.)
Waking Up: Misery Business by Paramore (You wake up in your metro apartment and go through a montage of your morning routine. You are a 17-year-old girl with “attitude.” You make up your blue hair and your eyeliner and go through your closet to find just the right Hot Topic shirt for the day.)
First Day at School: Chicago by Sufjan Stevens (You find out that your parents have enrolled you in a high school in another city that’s miles away, and you have to take a scenic, sprawling road trip to get there. It’s super weak, and you end up 5 minutes late to your first class.)
Falling in Love: XO/The Host by The Weeknd (You meet a girl at school and she takes you for a debauched night on the town. She pressures you into making a string of terrible decisions which end up getting you kicked out of your parent’s apartment and out on the streets of this strange new city where your school is. Somehow, you can’t help but fall in love with such an awful, awful influence on your life.)
Fight Song: Kiss Kiss by Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Your relationship with this girl eventually leads to a conflict in a scene of passionately angry sex.)
Breaking Up: I Walked by Sufjan Stevens (Your girlfriend leaves you. You roam the city on foot, brooding.)
Life’s OK: Do me a Favour by Arctic Monkeys (You stop brooding and start to get angry at your girlfriend for leaving you. She comes around again and tries to help you get off the streets, but you’re not having any of it. You become an Independent Woman.)
Getting Back Together: The Device has Been Modified v2 by Victims of Science (You are kidnapped one night and wake up in a horrifying testing facility in which you are forced to work your way through puzzle chambers for a sociopathic robot. Your ex-girlfriend comes to your rescue, and you return gladly into her arms.)
Wedding: A Few of my Favorite Things by OutKast (You and your girlfriend want to get married in style, and design a wedding ceremony based on the setting of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis.” You hire a robot techno-jazz ensemble to play. It’s the coolest. Wedding. Ever.)
Birth of Child: Dracula’s Wedding (You give birth to a vampire baby. For some reason, he’s terrified of you. He runs away, and you find yourself better off for it.)
Final Battle: Android Hell from the Portal soundtrack (You find yourself once again in the clutches of your nemesis, the sociopathic robot. The two of you have an extremely tense, silent standoff.)
Death Scene: Gutter Butter by Gravy Train!!!! (The standoff is interrupted when your phone goes off to the sound of trashy, lo-fi techno music. The robot kills you in your moment of distraction. Nobody is around to silence your phone, and so the cheap drum loops and cheesy organs sounds continue as the life drains from your body.)
Funeral Song: I’m All Alone from Spamalot (Your wife mourns your passing in an oddly campy funeral montage. Her mother comes to comfort her, but she is ignored completely and humorously.)
End Credits: Intro by OutKast (In the epilogue, it is revealed that your nemesis has reincarnated you as a talking boombox.)
