Water Curses - Animal Collective
The past few days, I’ve been thinking a bit about Otherkin, and I’ve started to consider making an Otherkin playlist. I realized that most of the songs on that playlist would be by Animal Collective. This, and “Leaf House,” “Lion in a Coma,” “We Tigers,” and likely others that I haven’t thought of.
Then I realized that I don’t know how many songs I can think of that could go on an Otherkin playlist. Then I began to doubt that my Otherkin friend(s) would appreciate me making a playlist for them when I don’t identify as Otherkin and I don’t quite understand what it’s like being Otherkin.
Anyways, I just really like Animal Collective, and this song always makes me feel like I could just float out of my body at any moment and become a river.
I’m not sure now whether I’m going to try to make that playlist.
