Look at how pretty and skillfully made my new washcloth is.
So I bought this birthday present for myself and it sort of makes me want to cry.
Attempting to knit a sweater.
I doubt it will go well.
If I could get away with it I would sit and knit and listen to hardcore punk for the rest of my life
*siigh* That’ll always be the dream
So this is the moment where I sit here realizing that I just spent two hours coming up with a pattern for a blanket for myself to spend the next X-months knitting.
What took so long for the pattern you ask?
Nothing fancy, nothing overly complicated. No cabling, nonono.
That would be taking the BORING road.
Can you DEDUCE what I’m telling you?
Do you see how much this pattern has BURNED THE HEART OUT of me?
Am I laying this on a bit thick?
Let’s be really honest here, this is the moment where I realize I have become too hardcore a fangirl.
I am designing a Sherlock blanket.
That’s right, you read that right. I plan to knit myself a Sherlock-themed blanket.
Not just any blanket, mind you, but a blanket with silhouettes of John Watson and Sherlock Holmes.
Because Really I have no shame.
The blanket will have their faces (in silhouette of course) and a quote:
”A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.”
Because really, it’s totally them.
I’ll of course be posting updates about the blanket on here, and hopefully it won’t drive me totally ‘round the bend.
Here’s the pattern for John and Sherlock’s faces, god help me:
This. Is Amazing. All of the awards to you, dear.
